Up, up and away...

I just received a text message that my bestfriend just flew to Jeddah. Geez... It was so sudden, my mind flew for a couple of minutes. I didn't know what to think. Then, sadness just struck me. I should have been there to see him off.

I know that we haven't really talked for months. Things got screwed up and we were too busy to hang out like we used to. It was OK because I was thinking that he was just there. It would only take 10 minute walk to get to their house. But now... he's like hundred of miles away. I know this sounds gay but I couldn't help but feel sad and empty right now. I've known that guy since elementary. We went through a lot of things together... he's a brother to me.

I don't know how long he's going to work there but when I see that guy next time, I'm going to smash his face on the floor for not telling me that he was leaving... Damn you! You'll be missed...

Based on true stories...

Just watched "A Tale of Mari and 3 Puppies." It reminds me of Hachiko, the dog who waited at a train station for years for his master to come home but he didn't. He was not able to because he died. Hachiko waited patiently and made vigil everyday for 10 years. He died in the end. Talk about loyalty.

Mari has a different story but still shows loyalty. She helped her masters get rescued after an earthquake that hit Yamakoshi in Japan. They were saved because of Mari's effort but unfortunately, Mari and her pups where not rescued because the rescue chopper couldn't land (stupid turbulence). After all she did, they were left behind. It was heartbreaking to see Mari ran after the chopper as it flew away. Poor Mari.

Both movies were based on true stories.

After watching this, it made me appreciate our dogs even more. It made me realize that they're not just guards who look after our house or doorbells that would bark at us everytime our bills come... then use them to shred the papers (they love chewing papers). So, I got up, checked our dogs at the back, thinking maybe I could play with them. Before I managed to get close, Gwyneth (the younger one) already started barking at me, wagging her tail and you could tell that she was happy to see me. And when I tried to pet her, she jumped at me. She's always like that. I wasn't able to train them before since I don't usually go at the back.

After playing with Gwyneth, I checked Girly which was further at the back but she was not there. Strange... I just fed her last night. Girly was the shy type compare to Gwyneth. She would just whip her tail widely when she sees us, whimper instead of barking and wouldn't jump on you but instead would offer her head as if she's asking if you could pet her while looking at you. I like her better. So I asked my aunt where she could be and I was shocked and sadden by her answer (she even said it casually). Girly was sold to the "tambays", the drunkards, and made her "pulutan"...

*sniff*

This is Gwyneth.

This is Girly :(

My First Post

This is my first post. Nothing to write really. I started this blog because I lost the person who patiently listens to my stupid stories, comments, whining and dreams. I've got no one to tell my stupid stuff. I just hope that I don't get lazy writing :)
